  • Mechanical splicing uses a precision alignment sleeve to hold the fibers in contact, suitable for temporary or quick installations . 4. Quality Control
  • Test the terminated SC connector for insertion loss, return loss, and physical integrity.
  • Inspect the fiber endface under a microscope to ensure no scratches, chips, or contamination.
  • Factory-fabricated pigtails often undergo batch testing to ensure consistent performance for large-scale deployments .
